Rope Wars

I've struggled with writing a blog article this week. Such is usually not the case, but alas...I've been stumped. Part of the problem is my schedule. I've been slammed since Sunday afternoon with very few minutes to spare. Admittedly, though, a larger part of it is I couldn't think of anything valuable to say...until this morning.

However, don't expect anything lengthy! My message is brief this week. And it is contained in the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 4:12: "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" (NIV). Beth and I discussed this verse in the wee hours of Friday morning. Satan is always trying to destroy us, but if we band together as believers during his many assaults, we can put up a formidable defense. And, most importantly, if we band together with God (the third and MOST important strand in the rope), Satan doesn't stand a chance!

Are you hanging on to a three-stranded cord today, or are you at the end of your rope? If it's the latter, then a stronger cord is available...but you must be willing to grab it.
